Getaway to Gold Coast (1) - Tanjung Sepat

Yeah! Jeff promised to bring me out and play after our final exam. He had bought a voucher from Groupon to Gold Coast Water Theme Park Hotel at Morib. We are running away from the city to Morib when everyone else is starting on new semester :p I have been researching for this trip after final and read through many reviews for tips to plan a perfect trip for us!

A cow crossing the road. There were more of them than us
so we gotta let then go first ain't we :P
We were going there from Nilai, which is using the KLIA route as we would go Tanjung Sepat first before Gold Coast Morib resort. We got lost in someway middle because of me T_______T but soon back on the right track. Departing by 10am, we reach Tanjung Sepat in one and half hour. I like to travel along these villages road instead of highway as it brings a real sensation of holiday :) There were many cows along the roadside as we were nearer to Tanjung Sepat. I felt more relaxed as we enter into small towns and village areas. The trees and grass are so lovely, skies are blue, cows are skinny and lazy. I thought cows are very hardworking! We often hear that in kid stories :) I was very happy to escape from the city life before starting a new semester.
Passing by Sungai Pelek town

We planned to visit dragon fruit farm if we arrived early. However we didn't visit it after all because we went passed the entrance of the street directly and only realised it after 5km faraway as we reached Tanjung Sepat town. :P the kampung street is really narrow so we decided to park our car outside and walk the entire village. It was proved a wrong choice in the end because the weather was really hot later in the afternoon and le bf got sunburn :( so kesian, gotta sayang him. Me? I'm fine, I'm a little Indian, sunshine is nothing to me rofl.

My main destinations are all about FOODs. First, we went to this Hai Yew Heng Pau shop for buns. I heard their buns finished very quickly and I didn't want to miss it. The shop was opened but steamed pau were not ready yet, they are still in the midst of making pau. :( So we walked over to Kwo Zha B for coffee beans. The shop assistant guy was very friendly. He explained to us the process of making coffee beans and showed us processing coffee beans in different stages. They have a small machine of stirring/frying coffee beans as the photo on the right. We cannot make our mind whether to buy the coffee so we decided to look around first.

We decided to take photos with these signboard once and for all as
I don't want to go every shop and stand at their front door to take photo.
I'm a shy kid. :P
We then walk around the street and saw another coffee bean factory in house which I forgot the name. Non-stop taking photos there (in the middle of the road!). Saw temples and people are burning huge incense sticks. Probably some local festivals.

Later we decided to go back to the pau shop for a rest while waiting for fresh steamed pau ♥ The pau shop has a new building opposite the old fashioned kopitiam, which kopitiam was the original pau shop for customers to dine in; the new building is air-conditioned for aunties to make delicious pau in a cooling environment. Tourist may eat pau and with cofee from Kwo Zha B coffee seller. It was very hot so we ordered some cold drink first while waiting for the paus to be ready. The uncle there kept promoting their fish balls and glutinous rice wine to us. They gave us two spoons of the wine to try. Jeff didn't like it, I think it was okay. Tasted slightly sour.  We bought a pack of fish balls to eat too. It was al dente and fresh but I dislike the taste of its fried skin as it tasted bitter to me.

Having my cool barley juice while reading the articles introducing Tanjung Sepat.
Took down a simple map of Tanjung Sepat for easy reference of tour later.
Finally the fresh steamed pau is out after 30 minutes. We ordered a cup of coffee and tried the Mui Choy bun (梅菜包), bean paste bun (豆沙包) and the pork bun (生肉包). We loved Mui Choy pau the most! parfait Délicieux! Bean paste bun is nice too, quite different with those sold in the city but might be a little sweet for certain people. Coffee tasted great. We were supposed to share the coffee but ended up I drank most of it because babe was too slow to grab it hahah! After I finished he glared at me :p but burst out laughter when he saw my teeth full of coffee stains. We saw people carrying buns out from the stores packs by packs. Seems like each person buy at least 30 buns! o.o How many buns y'all eat per day omggggg.
Greatest enjoy in the world to have Mui Choy Pau from Hai Yew Heng and coffee from Kwo Zha B.

I have to question for the sole purpose of posting this image-ruining photo in Facebook at all.

We chose not to buy our souvenirs first because we didn't want to carry that all our way while looking around. After lunch, we went to the lovers' bridge. Of course mah, kan we are lovers ♥ Cannot stop taking photos outside the local residents at all on our way to lovers' bridge.
Nice roof decoration!
Green plantation in the house!
Good place for a neighbourhood chat after dinner. Usual thing in kampung.
We were so excited to found this bike outside a house. It is so cool! With a roof some more.
Reminds me of the motorbike hanging with all those breads and snacks and drive along houses to sell.

Lucky us, it was high tide. (I don't like too see the dirty seashore so... ya lucky us) The seawater was, ewww..... muddy. You can see three colours of the seawater standing on the bridge. Nearest one is muddy brown, further away is greenish and it's deep blue far away. The was notice on the bridge's lamp pole warning tourist not to go on the bridge as the bridge structure is damaged. I think the mentioned bridge is the wooden bridge far ahead. However I was too worried that if they meant the whole bridge then I might be risking my life! So I didn't dare to go too far from the seacoast. Plus I'm also afraid that I would fall off the bridge for no reason then I'd be die of drowning. Stay in safezonesafezonesafezone. I'd feel awkward to die young in my vacation. Choichoichoi. It was extraordinary hot there because no shelter on the bridge.

Me and rubbish on the bridge.
Le superstar bf.

Le bf busy looking for seashell beside lovers' bridge. So cute ain't he
I must express my sincere gratitude for this restaurant because I had a
sudden stomach cramp after lovers' bridge so went there to poop.  >____<
After that we went back to buy our coffee beans and some Mui Choy pau. We bought 5 packs of coffee powders from Kwo Zha B, which I think its coffee fragrance is strong. The shop assistant told us that the town would have a Chinese show like Beijing Opera on that night and we are welcome to watch. Owwwh thank you so much but I guessed we will be lazy after we got to our hotel hahah. We found out that the Mui Choy pau has been sold out :( It was within time of an hour after we ate our pau! Note that it was a Wednesday! Asdfghjkl. Weekday also sales so laku seriously. We disappointingly turned around. Within a second I decided to place an order so that on our way back tomorrow it's guaranteed that we have pau! We ordered for 18 Mui Choy bun and 2 bean paste bun. (Should've order more...)

No pau. :(
No pau and we were melting. :((
No pau and we were melting and we gotta walk to car :(((
No pau and we were melting and we gotta walk to car and car is far :((((
No pau and we were melting and we gotta walk to car and car is far and car is hot too :(((((

I have planned to steamboat in our hotel room since I thought in the end we're gonna be lazy to drive out again to look for dinner. So we went to Yek Loong Enterprise to buy our steamboat ingredients. Everything made of fish paste! We bought some fish paste products for our dinner, each big pack only cost RM5! I wanted to buy yong taufu and chilies but they were not ready yet :/ After that we went to Ganofarm to buy Abalone mushroom. It's so nice to shop in air-conditioned building T__T (Grateful) If you notice, people went these place to visit and watch the factory processes but I went to buy food only and chiao. *facepalm*

Me at Yek Loong Enterprise buying fish-paste-products.
Me with mushroom bigger than Prince frog. Felt like Alice in the Wonderland.
Then we rushed to our accomodation - Gold Coast Morib Water Theme Park Resort. Oh before that we went to bought 2 eggs at nearby grocery shop for our steamboat. The shop owner looked at me curiously. Awkward in every way *blush*
